Agenda:  
9:00-11:00 Gary Jereb, P.E., Chief of the Northeastern Illinois Regulatory Programs Section will present an overview of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Office of Water Resources regulatory programs, specifically the floodway management, the public water management and the dam safety programs. Emphasis will be provided on the proposed changes to the floodway rules entitled Construction in Floodways of Rivers, Lakes and Streams (Illinois Adm. Code Part 3700).
11:00-12:00 On September 1, 2010 the Illinois State Water Survey was officially delegated Conditional/Letter of Map Revision (Form MT-2) CLOMR/LOMR review authority on behalf of FEMA within the State of Illinois. Brian Chaille, P.E. CFM with Illinois State Water Survey’s MT-2 processing team will provide guidance for successfully revising FEMA maps in Illinois. This workshop will explain the review process and provide insights to help facilitate the map change process for requestors or potential requestors. This workshop is intended for engineers, floodplain managers, and anyone who may prepare an application for a CLOMR or LOMR. Topics to be covered in the workshop include: choosing between a Letter of Map Amendment and a Letter of Map Revision, determining when a CLOMR or LOMR is required, obtaining effective data, MT-2 Form requirements, Endangered Species Act requirements, organizing the submittal, common submittal mistakes, effective dates and review periods.
