Description
Hosted by the Illinois Association for Floodplain and Stormwater Management
Designed for both new floodplain administrators as well as a refresher course for Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs). The session will cover floodplain management concepts, basic FEMA mapping, map changes, State of Illinois floodway regulations, state and local floodplain permit requirements, flood insurance, CRS, and mitigation. Course insructors will be Paul Osman (IDNR Statewide Floodplain Programs Manager), Steve Altman (IDNR Permit Section Manager), Chris Hanstad (ISWS Mapping Program), and Frank Shockey (FEMA).
