The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways is seeking an experienced transportation drainage engineer to perform a variety of duties related to stormwater management and environmental aspects of the Department’s work including implementation of the Department’s $1.2 Billion 5-Year Transportation Improvement Program! Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- A valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Illinois
- A valid Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification
- Six (6) years’ work experience in design, construction, or engineering studies related to transportation infrastructure
- Within these minimum six (6) years’ experience, a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in the preparation and/or oversight of drainage studies and in at least one (1) of the following two (2) categories is required: (A) Stormwater management contract plans, specifications, and cost estimates (B) Regulatory permit applications, all for transportation projects
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
Salary and Benefits
