 re of stormwater and floodplain management in Illinois\, and the importanc
 e of obtaining your Certified Floodplain Management certification\, especi
 ally for those who are newer to the industry. In order to attend\, you mus

 Speaker Bios:\n Karen Kabbes\, P.E.\, D.WRE\, CFM\nKaren C. Kabbes is pres
 ident of Kabbes Engineering\, Inc. a multi-disciplinary firm specializing 
 in water resources and environmental engineering. A registered professiona
 l engineer\, her past positions have included leading a floodplain managem
 ent and regulatory unit for the State of Illinois\, Chief Engineer of the 
 Lake County Stormwater Management Agency and Executive Director of the Fox
  Waterway Agency\, a bi-county regional agency.  Karen is a long-time memb
 er of the Association of State Floodplain Managers having served in numero
 us positions including board member\, national conference program chair an
 d committee chair. She is a founding member and former chair and program c
 hair of the Illinois Association of Floodplain and Stormwater Managers. Ka
 ren is a Certified Floodplain Manager and is a Diplomate of the American A
