DESCRIPTION:This course is designed for both stormwater and floodplain admi
 nistrators as well as future and current Certified Floodplain Managers (CF
 Ms).  The session will cover floodplain management concepts\, basic FEMA m
 apping\, including V-Zones\, map changes\, State of Illinois floodway regu
 lations\, state and local floodplain permit requirements\, flood insurance
 \, CRS\, and mitigation. Course instructors will be floodplain management 
 and permitting staff from IDNR/OWR\, mapping staff from ISWS\, and NFIP sp
 ecialists from FEMA.\nDuring the last hour\, course instructors (and curre
 nt CFMs) will be available to answer questions related to the CFM Exam.\nW
