  HEC-RAS 5 have made substantial improvements to the RAS Mapper tool.  Man
 y of the features in RAS Mapper can greatly improve the accuracy and effic
 iency of modeling floodplains for Letter of Map Revisions (LOMRs).  This w

 nsmcd.com).\nSpeaker Bios:\nBrian S. Chaille\, P.E. CFM\, is the Senior Te
 chnical Reviewer for the Illinois State Water Survey Federal Emergency Man
 agement Agency Letter of Map Revision Delegation Program.  Mr. Chaille has
  more than 30 years of professional experience in water resources analysis
 \, planning\, design\, permitting and construction in both public and priv
 ate sectors.  His experience includes stormwater and floodplain management
 \, flood control\, residential and commercial site development\, bridge an
 d highway engineering\, drainage litigation\, environmental planning\, str
 eam restoration and maintenance.  In addition to the Map Revision Delegati
 on Program\, his current duties include floodplain and floodway modeling\,
  and internal review of steady &amp\; unsteady floodplain and floodway mod
 el analysis.  Mr. Chaille is a graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Techno
 logy in Terre Haute\, IN as well as the University of Illinois at Urbana-C
 hampaign in Hydro-Systems Engineering.\nChris Hanstad\, P.E.\, CFM is an e
 ngineer with the Illinois State Water Survey&rsquo\;s Coordinated Hazard A
 ssessment and Mapping Program (CHAMP).  He has over 10 year of experience 
 in floodplain mapping and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.  He is Licens
 ed Professional Engineer in Illinois\, Indiana\, and Wisconsin and a Certi
 fied Floodplain Manager.  He has led the Illinois Letter of Map Revision R
 eview Partners Program at the Water Survey for 10 years.  He also performs
  hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for FEMA floodplain maps studies. He ha
 s helped perform loss avoidance studies and flood risk assessments.  He ha
 s earned a Bachelor of Science in General engineering and Masters of Scien
 ce in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaig
