DESCRIPTION:There is much information available on green stormwater infrast
 ructure\, including design considerationsand methods for modeling its effe
 ctiveness. Use of low impact development and BMPs aimed at treatingand/or 
 keeping runoff onsite is increasingly practiced in Illinois and nationally
 . There is still much debateand discussion regarding when these methods ar
 e cost-effective as compared to more traditional &lsquo\;gray&rsquo\;infra
 structure. This workshop will compare costs of green and gray infrastructu
 re and provide considerationsof the elements that influence the selection 
 of one or the other.This seminar is intended for stormwater engineers\, pe
 rmitting agencies\, contractors and developers. Theevent will begin with a
 n EPA update on the NPDES Rules Making status and then proceed with provid
 inga framework of factors that influence the evaluation of cost. Subsequen
