Civil Engineer Trainee | Illinois Department of Natural Resources/Office of Water Resources

Under immediate supervision of the Senior Water Resources Engineer, performs moderately difficult technical and skilled manual work of a civil engineering nature; assists in basic engineering function, reviews permit applications for construction in and along the waters and regulated floodplains of the state, collects data required for completion of assigned projects and inspects construction projects on a regional basis.

Requirements

Requires a four-year degree from an accredited college in engineering, or knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college in engineering.  Requires possession of a certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT), or must be qualified to receive the EIT certification.  This position requires a valid Illinois driver's license.

Salary

Full Time Position
$4,275.00 - $5,960.00 monthly
