Professional Engineer | City of Aurora

The Professional Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing consulting engineers and city staff in the planning, design, and construction of stormwater and underground utility improvements as required per the City’s CSO NPDES permit, and assisting with managing the City’s MS4 Stormwater Program.


This position requires a bachelor’s degree of science in Civil Engineering with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience, progressively responsible, in the planning, design, and construction of public works improvements, including project management and supervisory experience. A strong background in construction observation and resident engineering of major utility projects is preferred. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and geographical information systems is a plus. The candidate must be able to obtain an Illinois Professional Engineer license within 6 months of hire, and must possess a valid driver’s license.


Pay range $42.13/hr.-$54.78/hr., depending on experience. Excellent benefit package included.
