Subject to review and approval of the Engineering Studies Section Manager, carries out specific design functions which directly contribute to the satisfactory completion of engineering studies on a state-wide basis; establishes future water resources construction projects and flood damage mitigation efforts for the Office of Water Resources; provides hydraulic information necessary for operation of OWR dams.

Work Schedule: Monday  Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, 1-hour lunch. Saturday & Sunday off 


Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with coursework in civil engineering or related field; B.S. degree in Engineering (Civil or related field) from an accredited institution preferred.; possession of a certificate as a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois is required.  Requires prior experience equivalent to three years of progressively responsible water resources engineering experience.  Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of water resource engineering with specialized knowledge of hydraulics of gate structures, flood routing and database use/development is required.


$3,116 – $9,765 (Monthly)
