Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Water/Wastewater Engineer reporting to our Bloomington, IL office with the flexibility to be based out of either our Champaign, Lisle, Tinley Park, Peoria, Springfield, or St. Louis, MO offices. We are searching for a candidate with a solid technical background, a strong sense of project ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. This position provides the opportunity to grow a team of experts to perform this work as well.
Job Activities:
- Manage a variety of water and wastewater projects from planning through design, permitting and construction
- Preparation of planning studies and reports for evaluation of project alternatives
- Perform hydraulic calculations and modeling for water and sanitary sewer analysis
- Preparation of reports on engineering analysis and modeling results
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies to facilitate permit approvals
- Work directly with clients and a multi-discipline design team to manage projects
- Manage construction with client and contractor including periodic site visits and meetings, shop drawing reviews, etc.
- Lead business development activities and preparation of proposals
Specific Requirements include:
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
- 15 or more years of Water/Wastewater Engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Experience with water modeling software such as WaterCAD, InfoWater, and EPANET, preferred
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS preferred
- Willingness to participate in business development activities
- Passion for water and wastewater engineering
