Call for Speakers
The call for speakers for our 2009 Annual Conference is now available here.

The 2009 conference will be held on March 11-12, 2009 at the brand new I-Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 South First Street, Champaign, Illinois, 61820-6914, (217)819-5000. Driving directions can be found on the I-Hotel website http://stayatthei.com/directions.aspx.

CRS
The Community Rating System Com-mittee is working to increase Illinois participation. ISO (Insurance Service Office) staff will be available to meet individually with those interested in the CRS.

Lodging
Lodging at the I-Hotel will be available at the special conference rate of $119.  Space is limited.  To reserve your room go to www.StayAtTheI.com and click on the orange “Attendee Code” then enter the group code AILA.  Reservations must be received on or before February 10, 2009.  The hotel requires payment for the first night’s stay at the time of reservation.  Additional rooms are available at the Hilton Garden Inn 1501 S. Neil Street, Champaign, Illinois, USA 61820. Call 1-877-stay-hgi or go online at www.champaignurbana.stayhgi.com and use Group Code IAFSM9 (deadline for group rate at HGI is 2/16/09).

Registration
Registration covers lunches, breaks, materials and your 2009 IAFSM membership. Discount before February 18, 2009. The deadline for registrations and cancellations is February 27, 2009. No refunds after February 27, 2009. In past years we had to turn away late registrants. Register early to make sure you don’t miss out.

Use the registration form enclosed with this brochure (one per person, please). Make checks payable to “IAFSM.” No vouchers, invoices, credit cards, etc., will be accepted.

Exhibitors
Companies and organizations will exhibit their products, services, and activities all day Wednesday. Exhibitor cards can be completed by participants. At Thursday’s luncheon, there will be a drawing of returned completed cards to select door prize winners.

Sponsors
We invite you to be a sponsor for the annual conference or donate a door prize. All sponsors will be identified in the conference program, at plenary sessions, and during the luncheon.

Continuing Education Credits

• Certified Floodplain Managers - CECs
  10 CECs (Continuing Education Credits) are provided toward the requirements for Certified Floodplain Managers for attending both days of the conference. Attendance is reported directly to the CFM Database.
• Professional Engineering - PDHs
  Full conference attendance provides 12 Professional Development Hours. Certificates can be picked up at the end of the conference.
• Credit Hours are subject to final program adjustment.
