The
Conference
Our global and local communities are
working increasingly hard to identify and develop
solutions to issues such as the impacts of climate
change, the future of our water supplies, and
our dependency on oil. Floodplain and stormwater
managers must also consider sustainability in
all that they do. So must our chosen profession,
be it local officials, engineers, consultants,
planners, conservationists, architects or landscape
architects, strive to ensure that the infrastructure
we build and the programs we develop are sustainable.
Conference presenters will explore ways to make
floodplain and stormwater management techniques
more sustainable. Speakers from federal, state,
regional, and local agencies and the private
sector will share their knowledge on current
programs.
